It might not be widely know but this is the 2.0 version of this site. I have rebuilt the entire website from scratch with a new vision of what I would like this website to be. Please join me into this next exciting year.
Thank you,
Zach
I’ve spent most of my time over the last 6 months shooting film exclusively. What started as a fun addition to my digital work became a full time passion. The focus and enjoyment with film has me diving in head first.
My current joy is a Nikon F3, a versatile camera. This is a professional film camera that was in production from 1980-2001! Pretty much every Nat Geo cover in the 80’s was taken by this camera.
I’ve built out my film section of my website with more additions to come. Thanks for checking it out!
I recently came into possession of a medium format camera. A Mamiya 645, this camera was in production from 1975-1990. Mine was made in 1978 and still works like a charm. These old cameras are robust on a level not known in the modern era.
There are several different sizes of medium format, 645 is the smallest medium format size with 6x9 being the largest. 645 is about 2.5 times larger than 35mm. This allows for more detail in each shot, the drawback is only having about 15 frames vs having 36 with 35mm film.
